Our Blog: The Third Year

Assalamu Alaikum everyone!
Subhana'Allah! It's hard to believe this day has arrived, and that we have posted every single Friday... for three whole years!! Each year we have done a post similar to this one, talking about the year we've completed and sharing our experiences and lessons learnt. So if you would like to see them here are the First and Second years. That is what this last post will be on, insha'Allah.
It is sad to say that this is our last post, for the foreseeable future, but who knows, we may start again someday. We will also list some of our favourite posts insha'Allah, like we've done every year, in case you're interested and would like to take a look.
Alhamdulillah, at least for the first 6 months of this year, we were more organised than the previous years, masha'Allah! We had most of the posts written up and scheduled before Friday, which was a nice achievement, alhamdulillah. We found it harder to do so in the later months and have decided that now is a good time to end our blogging journey. It has been an interesting and enjoyable experience. We hope that our blog continues to bring joy and inspiration to anyone who stumbles across it, insha'Allah! You can of course continue to follow us on Instagram @craftymuslimahs if you would like.

Bakes and Drinks
This year we did more drinks than before, so that was fun to share, and baking is something we do so often (Maryam mostly!). Here are some of our favourites:

Crafts
Here are some of the crafts we enjoyed showing:

DIY's
It's always fun to do a DIY for you all and show you step-by-step how we craft. Here are a few of the ones we shared this year:

Original Story
It was so exciting (especially for Zainab!) to share an original story for the first time, masha'Allah!
You can click here if you would like to read it!

Masha'Allah, we have also really enjoyed sharing our 2019 Summer HolidayMaryam's Gardening posts, Sumayyah's School Projectssome PhotographyBook Recommendations and a lot more! Subhana'Allah.

Alhamdulillah it has been a fun challenge to blog consistently, and we've enjoyed it very much. We haven't been as organised as we had hoped to be this year, because a lot has been going on in our lives and in the world in general. Life is full of hard times, but the important thing is to do good with the time we have been blessed with, insha'Allah.
We hope you have enjoyed this post and all the posts we have done. If you are new here, you are of course most welcome and we hope you find inspiration from our blog! Insha'Allah, you are all well and healthy and having a great day. Now, let us not say 'farewell' but rather 'until next time, insha'Allah!'

That's all from us.

Love and Wasalaam,

Hanifah, Maryam, Zainab and Sumayyah

Our Old Blog

Assalamu Alaikum everyone.
We have a couple of things to tell you in today's post. The first is about our old blog which we started in 2011 and ended in the autumn of 2017. We thought you may be interested in seeing some old projects we did when we first started blogging.
We then moved on to this blog as we got older to begin afresh and try being more consistent with our posting. Alhamdulillah, we have achieved that so far!
Now on to the second thing we want to address and we feel it is rather sad news, unfortunately. We will, insha'Allah, be leaving our blog in September. We are not sure how long we will be gone; it may be forever or we may return but no longer be posting regularly. This is because we are all very busy nowadays and don't want our blog to become a burden instead of a hobby! Insha'Allah, we hope you understand.
In case you didn't know about our old blog, here is a link so you can visit and see how our blogging journey began!
Today, we have chosen a few of our favourite projects from our old blog to share in this post. Without further ado, here is the first craft:

This was our first craft on our old blog and was made by Maryam.
We went through a phase of playing with these miniature dolls and made them this boutique. We called it Zainab's Boutique because we made Zainab's doll the shop owner.
We also made the dolls a car out of small cereal boxes.
This was arguably our most popular post on our old blog, masha'Allah. It was a project Hanifah did for school, back when we weren't home-schooled, and masha'Allah is still impressive to this day!
(You can click on the photos for a closer look)
This was probably our biggest project. It was an Eid gift from us all to Sumayyah when she was around 5 years old. SubhanAllah! Looking back on it now, we are amazed at the amount of detail we put into the house to make it feel like a real lived-in home!
Well that is all for this post.
We have really enjoyed blogging consistently and we would like to end on a high. So! Insha'Allah, we will be posting on Tuesdays and Fridays until September 4th.
We hope you liked looking at our old blog posts. Sorry for the old, poor quality photos. See you on Tuesday, insha'Allah!

Love and wasalaam,
