Our 2019 Summer Holiday (Part 2)

Assalamu Alaikum everyone!
We're back with the second and final part of our summer holiday post. This time it is mostly celebrating the beauty and splendour of Allah's creations: Nature and it's greenery.
While on holiday we spent a week at a holiday home, as we mentioned in part 1, in Devon and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves masha'Allah. The home we featured in the previous part; this time it's about the garden where we spent most of our time.
Masha'Allah the landscape was just beautiful and the weather was lovely and warm.
Our Mother really liked the flower bed arrangement, so we made sure to take lots of photos for inspiration.
We took a few road-trips through Dartmoor, and stopped to look at the wild Dartmoor ponies.
We went on several walks through the nearby peaceful woods which was always fun alhamdulillah.
There was a river nearby the home and we had fun racing sticks in the rapids!
Sometimes we took strolls immediately after praying Fajar, when the sun was still asleep and the details of the woods difficult to make out. And then we would make it back home, in time to watch the sunrise and see all the pretty butterflies come out.
Masha'Allah we are so grateful to have had this holiday and to have enjoyed ourselves so much. How did you spend your holiday? Did you go somewhere special? Did you spend it with family? We would love to know!
Well, that is all we have for you today. Insha'Allah we will see you next Friday again.
Love and wasalaam,

Our 2019 Summer Holiday (part 1)

Assalamu Alaikum!

In today's post we would like to share some photos from our summer holiday. We spent it in England with our family and had a lovely time, masha'Allah!
When we were younger we barely knew our family because we lived so far away. For the past several years, however, we have been able to go back and spend our holidays with them, alhamdulillah.

Harith

If you read our last holiday post then you probably remember our Nani (maternal grandmother) had a new cat named Harith. We met up with him again and he was just as sweet and adorable as before.
He was slightly naughtier than last year and had grown a bit bigger. We were so happy to see him again, masha'Allah!
We spent Eid-ul-Adha with family and friends at our Nani's. The house was full of people and we all had a wonderful time, masha'Allah. We did some shopping at second-hand shops, had a sleepover with our cousins, played with Harith, ate out and enjoyed quality time with family.

Holiday Home
During our stay we also spent a week on our own at a holiday home. Masha'Allah, it was a very private farmhouse surrounded by beautiful fields and woods, so we were able to take off our hijabs and completely relax.
Inside the house the rooms were big and spacious, perfect for a family of seven, masha'Allah.
Masha'Allah we all loved the large fire place.
Hanifah and Maryam's room.
Zainab and Sumayyah's room.
SubhanAllah, the views from the windows of the house were lovely, and a feature we don't want to forget, insha'Allah.
Although our holiday ended only a few weeks ago it feels like it's been much longer with the amount of things going on (e.g. school, studying, work). We don't want this post to be too long so we will do a second part in a few weeks time, insha'Allah. Until next week.

Love and wasalaam,
