Strawberry and Chocolate Milkshake Recipe

Assalamu Alaikum everyone!
It's Sumayyah here, and today I will show you how to make a Strawberry and Chocolate Milkshake. I made this recipe with my Mother and when we tried it, it tasted great, masha'Allah.
So here is how to make it!

Ingredients:
12 medium sized strawberries
2 cups milk
4 tbsp. maple syrup (or sweeten to taste)
2 tbsp. cream
some ice
chocolate spread

Method:
Firstly, place the strawberries in a blender.
Pour in the maple syrup and cream. Add the milk and blend until smooth.
Add the ice and blend.
This is your strawberry milkshake!
Pour out half the mixture into bottles and add a tablespoon of chocolate spread to the remaining half of the strawberry milkshake in the blender.
And that is your Strawberry Chocolate Milkshake.
Yum! Masha'Allah.
This recipe makes around four of these bottles.
That's it for now. I hope you enjoyed it, and let me know if you give this recipe a go. See you next Friday, insha'Allah.

Love and wasalaam,

Sumayyah

DIY Eid Al-Adha Card Décor

Assalamu Alaikum!
It's Zainab here. Eid Al-Adha is in a few weeks, so I thought it would be fun to share this craft with you. It is a fun and simple DIY for anyone to try, so I hope you enjoy!

For this craft you will need:
Pen
Glitter Pen (optional)
Card
Patterned Card
Scissors
Glue
Ribbon
Cotton Wool

Step 1: Fold your card in half and cut out a smaller piece of patterned paper to fit on the card.
Step 2: Snip, fold and glue the ribbon around the corners of the patterned card.
Step 3: Separate the cotton wool in to small clumps and glue them onto the patterned card. Then, using a pen, draw the head and legs of the sheep.
Step 4: Next glue the patterned card onto the plain card and write Eid Mubarak at the top. I used a glitter pen.
Step 5: This step is optional, but I went ahead and added some sequins down the side of the card. You could draw some pretty patterns instead or just leave it blank.
And you are done!
I hope you liked this DIY. If you would like to see another card décor you can click here.
That is all for today, see you next Friday, insha'Allah.

Love,
Zainab

Garden Photography

Assalamu Alaikum everyone!
As you may already know, we love photography. We are always trying to improve our skills and often use nature for practice. Today we will share with you some of the many pictures we took around our garden of animals and greenery. We were inspired to do another on of these posts after seeing this post over on the blog Moments of Wonder and Ponder.
We hope you enjoy!
This experience was definitely eye opening, masha'Allah. All the different textures are amazing, subhana'Allah.
We just had to capture these little cuties, masha'Allah.
Looks like an abandoned birds nest.
Subhana'Allah! Look at all the different textures this single palm tree can give you, depending on the angle you choose to look at it.

We, we hope you liked it. If you would like to see other photography posts you can click here. We hope you are all in good health and that you take care, insha'Allah.

American Pancakes Recipe

Assalamu Alaikum!
It's Maryam here this week. For this month's recipe I thought I'd share one that I've been making for years. I watched and helped my Mum make this easy breakfast for the family as a child, and to this day it is one of my favourites!
Let's begin!

Ingredients:
(Because we are a large family, I have tripled the recipe, which is why the ingredients in the photos may look a lot more than what the recipe measurements call for :) )

135g plain flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. sugar

130ml/4 1/2 floz milk
1 large egg
2 tbsp. olive oil/melted butter

Method:
Step 1: Place the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar in a bowl and whisk until combined.
Step 2: Make a well in the middle of the flour mixture and pour in the milk, egg and oil. Whisk well until there are no lumps and the batter is smooth. Let the batter sit for 10 minutes at least.
Step 3: Heat a pan on medium heat. Spoon the thick batter onto the pan and cook until a few bubbles can be seen on the surface of the pancake.
Flip and cook until golden brown, around 30 seconds.
And you are done, alhamdulillah!
Serve warm and top with fresh berries and sweet maple syrup.
I hope you liked this recipe. It is quick and easy and one I always enjoy whipping up in a few minutes!
Well that is all for today. See you all next week insha'Allah!

Love and wasalaam,

Maryam
