Energy Bars and an Apology

Assalamu Alaikum!
We are sorry that we don't have a proper post ready. We know that we were meant to do an art journaling post ages ago, but we have been very, very busy lately. This is just a post on some energy bars we made once. We're also sorry that it's not really a recipe.
They were nice masha'Allah, but we haven't quite perfected the recipe yet. We just sort of eye-balled the ingredients, if you know what we mean. We haven't had time to remake it and it is slightly bugging us! Also, we weren't satisfied with the photos. We know - we probably sound picky! It can be hard to get things done when you're a bit of a perfectionist.
We blended together pumpkin seeds, chia seeds, cashews, Medjool dates, oats, desiccated coconut, cinnamon powder, cocoa powder, flax seed powder and maple syrup for the base.
Then we placed the mixture in a glass container and smoothed it down.
Next we smoothed a layer of spreadable honey over it.
We then mixed together some coconut oil and cocoa powder...
...and poured an even layer on top of everything.
We placed it in the fridge until it hardened and then we cut it up into thin bars.
It's a healthy homemade snack that it relatively easy to make.
Maybe sometime we will redo this post with the recipe's proper, measured out ingredients. In the mean time, you can take a look at our Date Energy Balls recipe which is also a healthy snack.
Well, that's all. Again, we are sorry that this post is a bit rushed. We have exams coming up and are likely not to be that active on our blog for a while. Insha'Allah, we will still try to post every Friday though.

Take care and Wassalam,
