Date Energy Balls Recipe (healthy snacks)

Assalamu Alaikum!
For this Friday's post we will be showing you how to make these healthy and delicious energy balls. They are a great snack and would also make pretty treats to give to guests.
We made three different kinds of date balls to give you examples of some tasty combinations. They are so easy to make and you can add whatever you like to them. Be creative and have fun!

1. Oat and Chocolate Chip Energy Balls
Simply combine 6 mashed dates, ½ cup of oats and 1 Tbsp. of chocolate chips in a bowl. Then roll into six round balls, refrigerate until firm and you're done!
2. Hazelnut, Raison and Cranberry Energy Balls
Combine 6 mashed dates, 1 Tbsp. of finely chopped hazelnuts, 1 Tbsp. of raisons and 1 Tbsp. of cranberries in a bowl. This recipe should form four even-sized balls. Refrigerate until firm and enjoy!
3. Sesame Seeds, Chia Seeds and Desiccated Coconut
Covered Energy Balls
For this recipe you simply need to mash up some dates, roll them into balls and coat in one of the above toppings. A tip when rolling the mashed dates is to have a bowl of water at hand. Wetting your hands every now and again will stop them from getting sticky.
We hope you have a go making these date energy balls. In case you were wondering we used Medjool dates in these recipes as they are soft and large. They also contain a lot of nutrients including:

dietary fibre - aids in digestion
calcium - promotes growth and strengthens bones
copper - increases iron absorption
 potassium - regulates blood pressure
 vitamin A - improves vision
vitamin B - boosts metabolism
