Assalamu Alaikum!
In this post we will be showing you how we made this simple memory game craft. We think it is especially fun for younger children who are learning the Arabic alphabet. Let's begin!
plain card
pencil
pen
ruler
colour-pencils
First draw 4 rows of 7 rectangles on two A4 sized cards. You should have 56 rectangles in total, 28 on each card.

First draw 4 rows of 7 rectangles on two A4 sized cards. You should have 56 rectangles in total, 28 on each card.
Go over your lines in pen.
Next write out the alphabet. (You can also write out the pronunciation of the letter in English.)
Go over the letters in a thick pen.
You could be done at this step, but we went ahead and drew some designs around the letters and coloured them in to make them more colourful.
Then cut them out and you're ready to play. It could also double as a jigsaw, since all the pieces need to be arranged in the correct order to see the full design!
To play:
Shuffle the cards face-down and then line them up.
Players take it in turns to flip two cards at a time and then turn them back face-down.
The aim of the game is to try and remember the letters on the cards that you see and collect as many pairs as you can.
Have fun playing with your new game! It would also make a nice handmade gift for a toddler. See you next week, insha'Allah!
Wassalam,
This is on my to-do list for Eid gifts! Suggestion, if you have an extra naughty and destructive toddler, laminate and stick on THICK board paper. I'm not sure if I'll laminate but I'll certainly mount them on something thick! This is good for ramlah - she needs to know her arabic alphabet lol

Assalamu Alaykum. Glad you really like it. Yes! re-enforcing it with some board paper is a good idea. SubhanAllah, Ramadan is really close, don't you think so?
DeleteWa alaikum salaam. Na'am! I can't wait! Islaamically (lunar calendar), I will be 12 on the tenth of Ramadhaan. People are already buying my mom's Ramadhaan Packs. Did you see my post?

Yes we did! Funny, Zainab turns 17 (Islaamically) on the first of Ramadan!
DeleteSubhanallaah, everyone grows up so fast! Almost all my cousins are over 20, lol. Pretty boring as no one thinks the way I do!
