DIY Diamond Bookmark

Assalamu Alaikum!

Here is a fun bookmark we came up with and wanted to share. Recognise the patterned paper? It's from the DIY notebook cover post we did a couple of months ago. If you would like to see some more of our DIY bookmarks you can click here. And now on with the craft!

For this craft you will need:-

patterned card

scissors

embroidery thread

needle

pencil

ruler

First you will need to cut out three (3x3)cm squares from the patterned card.

Next line up the diamond shapes to get an idea of how you want the bookmark to look.

Then sew them together leaving some space between each diamond.

Make sure to tie a knot between each diamond so that they stay in place and don't slip about. Leave some extra embroidery thread after the last diamond.

Tie a few evenly-spaced knots on the extra thread as decoration.

And you're done!

Let the first diamond and the extra thread dangle out of your book.
