DIY Roll-up Felt Pencil Case

Assalamu Alaikum everyone!

It's Hanifah here and today I'm going to be showing you how to make this roll-up felt pencil case. This craft is relatively simple and would make a nice travel-sized gift for any artist.
For this project you will need:-
Felt
Fabric scissors
A button
A needle
Ribbon or embroidery thread
A ruler
A pen

First you will need to line up your pencils and evenly space them out. This is to measure out how much felt you will need.
Cut your felt to the required size. For 18 pencils I needed a rectangle of 15cm by 8cm.
Lay your pencils out again if needed to see where to mark your slits.
I marked mine like this:
Down: dots at (1) (1.5) (3) (3.5) (5) (5.5) (7) and (7.5).
Across: 18 evenly spaced half-inch lines from each dot. The photos should explain better, insha'Allah.
Next you will need to cut the slits.
Fit the pencils into place and roll up the felt.
Attach the button to one end of the felt.
Leave the thread or ribbon attached and remove the needle. Now wrap it around the pencil case and secure it around the button. Then you're done!
I hope that you enjoyed this post and that you try to recreate this craft sometime, insha'Allah. Until next week!

Wassalam,

Hanifah
