What We Got For Eid (Handmade Gifts)

Assalamu Alaikum everyone!
Insha'Allah you have all had a lovely Eid and are looking forward to the summer holidays! We wanted to do a post showing you some of the handmade gifts we received this Eid. Handmade gifts are always so special because they are made with love and show that the person took time to make something unique just for you.

So, here is the handmade gift that Sumayyah received:
It is an original story, Masha'Allah, written by Zainab and illustrated and designed by our Mother!
Hanifah helped with the editing and the map was drawn by Maryam.
The story is a twist on a favourite fairy tale and the main character (Susu) is Sumayyah, of course!
The book was handwritten by our mother in a similar style to the Tom Gates books which Sumayyah loves.
Here is the description on the back of the book. You can click on the photos for a better view.
Sumayyah was surprised and happy that the story was about her and Insha'Allah, she will treasure it always.

This Eid Zainab received these gifts:
A journal made by our mother.
Here are some of the pages.
 A couple of journaling cards.
A tuck spot and a pretty tag.
And here is the back.
She was also given another journal made by Maryam.
The bag contained some journaling cards, tags, envelopes and other nice bits and bobs.
Opening up the journal...
Here are some of the pages.
And here is the back.
Masha'Allah, Zainab really likes her journals and will be using them a lot during the summer holidays.

This is the handmade gift that Maryam received:
A journal made by our mother.
Here are some of the pages.
The back of the journal...
...and the front again.
Masha'Allah, Maryam can't wait to start using it as a travel journal for the summer holidays.

And here are the gifts Hanifah received:-
A journal made by our mother.
Here are some of the pages.
And here is the back.
She was also given a journal made by Maryam.
The bag contained some journaling cards, envelopes, lacy ribbons and other pretty things.
Opening the journal...
Here are some of the pages.
And here is the back of the journal.
Insha'Allah, Hanifah is looking forward to using both journals when she finds the time (once her exams are out of the way 😊).

Of course every gift should be appreciated, handmade or not. Remember it is the thought that counts at the end of the day. Again, we hope you all enjoyed your Eid and that you liked this blog post. See you next Friday, insha'Allah!

Wassalam,
