Childhood Memories: Old Drawings

Assalamu Alaikum everyone!
Today we thought we would share with you some of our old drawings that we have kept from years ago. We noticed, when choosing our drawings, that we all have a different style. That has always made it even more fun to look through each others work since we didn't know what to expect.
Over the years we have all enjoyed trying out different ways of drawing, from cartoons/comics to realistic intricate landscapes and we really like each kind.
So! Without further delay, let's jump straight into the pictures.

Maryam's Drawings

The two drawings that Maryam chose to share were ones she had done when she was 13 years old. As kids we went through a phase of taking an A4-size sheet of paper with the intention to draw a scene and colour it in without leaving a single speck of white from the paper. These were her first two.
They are "made up" creatures (inspired by dinosaurs), each "species" telling its own story. You can click on the pictures for a closer look.

Zainab's Drawings

Zainab's favourite animal is a horse, so it's no surprise to us that she is sharing some of her many horse/pony drawings which are really nice, masha'Allah.

Sumayyah's drawings

These are some of Sumayyah's drawings that she chose to share.

Hanifah's Drawings

And last but not least, here are some of Hanifah's, masha'Allah.

Well that is all we have time for today. We hope you liked seeing some of our old drawings and if you would like to see more of our Childhood Memories post you can click here.
Do you like drawing and do you have a particular style (sketch/cartoon/comic/intricate landscape or portrait spreads) let us know in the comments below.
Until next Friday, insha'Allah.

Love and wasalaam,

  1. Assalamualykum,
All of your drawings look cool,Mashallaah!

We also have many drawings of ours when we were little and we also loved to draw and color the background without leaving a speck of white on the paper - just like you'll!

I really like Hanifah's drawings as it is so detailed, how old was she when she drew them?
And Zainab's pony drawings look so cute :)
Sumayyah's and Maryam's drawings look gorgeous,I like how Maryam drew those "made up" creatures because they look like real creatures.
As for Sumayyah,We love how she has drawn her cute characters!
How old are Sumayyah and Zainab now?

PS. Sorry for the long comment,We suppose you didn't get bored :( Please visit our blog as we have posted a sad news!

    Love and salams,
    Hanaah and Khadijah..

    1. Wa Alaikum Assalam,

Aww! JazakumAllahu Khairan for your lovely comments on our drawings.

Hanifah cannot remember exactly how old she was when she did her ones - the horse's mouth is definitely the oldest one, and the others are maybe a couple of years old we think. A good tip is to always write the date on the back of your drawings - sometimes we forget to though!
Zainab is 17 and Sumayyah is 12. Don't worry we never get bored of reading comments! Sorry about your chickens; we hope they are happy in their new home.

      Wassalam,

      The Crafty Muslimahs
