Chunky Chocolate Brownies Recipe

Assalamu Alaikum everyone!
It's Maryam here! This is one of my all time favourite recipes and it is definitely a crowd pleaser. So let's begin!
Ingredients:
150g cooking chocolate, chopped
1/2 cup butter
2 tbsp. cacao powder
1 cup granulated white sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
3 large eggs
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. salt
125g chocolate, chopped into chunks

Method:
1) Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit, 180 degrees Celsius, Gas mark 4. Place the rack in the centre of the oven. Grease and line an 8 inch square pan.
2) In a large bowl, melt the cooking chocolate and butter over a saucepan of simmering water.
3) Remove from the heat and stir in the cocoa powder and sugar.
4) Next whisk in the vanilla extract and eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
5) Lastly, stir in the flour, salt and chocolate chunks. (At this point, if you enjoy nuts or dried fruit in your brownies, you can add half a cup into the mixture.)
6) Pour the chocolate batter into the prepared pan and bake for around 25 - 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the centre comes out with a little batter and a few moist clumps clinging to it. Do not over bake! It will be dry.
7) Remove from the oven and let cool on a wire rack to room temperature.
Serve and enjoy!
