Ramadan Treat Box Craft

Assalamu Alaikum everyone!
We decided to make a treat box for Sumayyah for Ramadan. Insha'Allah, she will receive something small from the box everyday after Iftar. In this post we are going to be showing you a few photos of how we made the box. It is a bit difficult to make but insha'Allah the photos will guide you.

You will need:-
a big box
cereal boxes
any other small boxes
cardboard
glue
a Stanley knife or scissors
paints

First we cut up the cereal boxes and used them to make small compartments. We used the cardboard to make partitions.
Then we placed them into the box so that they fit together nicely.
We cut out small doors.
There were nine compartments on the lowest level. Remember that you will need 30 compartments in total.
We added another layer of compartments. This time there were 13 compartments. Four of them were made from toilet roll tubes.
Then we added a third layer of compartments. There were nine this time.
Finally we placed some cardboard over it making one last big compartment.
We also cut out all the little doors and stripped the box.
Next we painted it to resemble the galaxy and cut out stars and a moon from some paper.
We glued a star onto each little door and the moon onto the lid of the box.
Finally the box was complete!

Now all we need to do is fill it with treats for Ramadan!

This project could also be used to encourage young kids who are learning to fast. It's a fun surprise as they don't know what they're getting. They are bound to be excited and motivated to keep their fasts, insha'Allah.
We have decided to do a weekly update of the treats Sumayyah will be receiving. It might also give you some ideas of what to put in the box, insha'Allah. It's important to remember that you don't need to buy lots of 'things'. Handmade gifts are always best.

We hope you liked this project and that it inspires you to do something similar.

Love and Wassalam,
